KFC shuts branch as UK town’s high street hit by string of closures | UK | News

KFC has shut its Chiswick branch this week following a string of closures on its high street. Sourdough pizza chain Franco Manca is also rumoured to be closing after a list of its locations was leaked to the trade press, while the KFC branch on Chiswick High Road has now taken down its signage.

The latest announcements follow exits from other hospitality businesses in the town, including restaurants The Silver Birch and Sam’s Kitchen, as well as a bakery called The Italians. Chiswick’s oldest restaurant, Annapurna, was forced to close in December after 55 years, since it was no longer financially viable, reports the Chiswick Calendar.
