Having had huge success year on year, Baileys bring out new flavours to add to its collection. Having previously taste tested Baileys Chocolate, I can see why it’s become part of the yearly offering. Its Baileys Toffee Popcorn and Terry’s Chocolate Orange Irish creams, on the other hand, can stay in 2025.
This Christmassy season, M&S have sent over three of their Irish creams: Chocolate and Cherry; Tiramisu; and Irish Cream Liqueur. The perfect accompaniment to a Christmas film and wrapping up presents, I sipped on the first drink.
Served chilled, and over ice (of course), the first was M&S Chocolate and Cherry flavour Irish Cream Liqueur.
Concentrated with Belgian chocolate and fresh cream, “from the Arrabawn creamery”, I was overwhelming impressed by the flavour.
I would describe the chilled beverage as creamy, tart and smooth; so smooth, that it was easily drinkable.
Having been impressed by the M&S offering, it was time to try the M&S Tiramisu flavour Irish Cream Liqueur.
Taking a sip of this beverage, again I was thoroughly impressed with how good it tasted. While the taste of tiramisu can be traced, it’s subtle and there’s a sweetness to the drink.
Fairly smooth, the only reason I didn’t rate this as highly as the Chocolate and Cherry liquer is purely down to personal taste.
Both have been made extremely well and I even think that the Chocolate and Cherry liquer is better than Baileys The Original.
As for M&S Irish Cream Liqueur, upon first taste, its strength nearly knocked my head back; too strong for me and not one I will be trying again any time soon.
