Brian May makes epic Queen announcement over 50 years in the making | Music | Entertainment

Two years ago, Sir Brian May and Roger Taylor announced a remixed, remastered and expanded version of their band’s self-titled debut album, Queen I.

Now the guitarist has revealed that they’ve done the same for their second record, Queen II, which the pair made with Freddie Mercury and John Deacon.

Posting a new video on his Instagram feed, Sir Brian revealed the first look at the product and its release date.

In the reel, the 78-year-old said: “Just preparing to do this unboxing video, which you will see very soon. The unboxing, of course, of this beautiful, beautiful rebuild of Queen II. Watch this space!”

Sir Brian captioned the post: “YEEEEOW !!! The beautiful new BOX SET of the perfectly rebuilt Queen II album has arrived !! Watch out for unboxing !!! Released 27th March – watch out for presale announcement ! Proud !! Bri.”

The 1974 album is one of Queen’s heaviest records and features classic tracks like Ogre Battle and Seven Seas of Rhye.
